Catching up with Faith Academy Graduates Again!

Last Thursday I was working on my new lectures in the parents' lounge at the Faith Academy and noticed that Kim was in the courtyard with two of her former students. They were scheduled to use our car and go to lunch together, while I waited and worked there, but plans had to change. So I got a distance picture from above and then went downstairs to take a better one of them together.

It’s a joy for Kim to find out how her grads are doing. It helps us to pray with real knowledge. Hannah and Joy were always good students and are attending college in Korea. As they all caught up on life events and new directions, Kim challenged them to pray and consider how they will be leaders for Christ in their homeland as the new generation in the church there. Pray for these young ladies that they will continue to grow and develop and that they will seek the Lord and serve Him. Thanks for praying!

Pray for Medical Missions in the Philippines!

Mission to Heal is a medical ministry in the Philippines associated and based with a Medical Ambassadors Program in Sarmiento, Quezon City, Manila.  Apparently they asked to use our seminary’s parking area while they are on a sort of sabbatical break in Manila. They are on call so to speak even during their most likely well-deserved break. So I thought it would be good to make our supporters aware of this vital ministry in the Philippines and ask you to pray for them.

ABWE once had a medical clinic on one of their ministry ships way back in the 1930s to 1940s and our first ABWE president, Dr. Raphael Thomas was a medical & church planting missionary.

So this truck and trailer reminded me once again that this is a vitally needed ministry in this third-world country. Pray for new medical missionaries to serve in the near future. Any medical field folks out there willing to consider this and answer a calling to it?  Check with www.missiontoheal.org to what's happening there!  Thanks for praying.

And Now for Something Completely Different!

I was barely was able to get this picture of a man selling his wares along the busy Antipolo City street.

Notice the use of the long pole to hold all of his weaved baskets and straw things in front and in back of him.

Not a super common sight but interesting when you consider this is “door to door” sales in this country.

Partnering for a Generational Legacy!

The seminarians Robert equips at BBSI are training for their calling to serve with excellence. The missionary kids Kim works with at Faith Academy need an education and to be challenged with the truth of the gospel, even while their parents serve in ministries all over the Philippines.

Out of 2 Timothy 2:2 we find a premier related to the passing of the baton of ministry to the next generation... "The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also."

When you join us in prayer ministry and regular financial partnership, you are investing in a movement of equipping a new generation for Christ and thereby partnering in a legacy for future ministry in the Philippines and beyond.

We are presently down in support by about 5% of our pledged monthly needs, which is common after arriving to the mission field again even after a long and fruitful furlough.  To invest in this work, simply click the button to go to ABWE's secure online donation page.  There you can arrange automatic monthly support.  All support donations are tax-deductible.
